Melaine was always so much fun—she loved to laugh and joke, and her beautiful spirit shone inside and out. We spent many joyful hours riding our horses together in King’s arena and pastures.
I’ll never forget one hot summer day when we rode out into the pasture, pulled off our saddles, and galloped our horses through the water, splashing each other until we were soaked and laughing so hard we nearly fell off. Afterwards, we lay in the grass, watching our horses graze, drying off in the sun. It’s one of my favorite memories.
Over the years, we visited a few times, and Melaine never lost that cheerful, honest nature that made her so special.
No words can truly express my heartfelt condolences to all of Melaine’s family.
