Clifford Gene Strandquist
1940 – 2021
Clifford Gene Strandquist Stettler, Alberta passed away unexpectedly on September 23, 2021, , at the age of 80 years, at home due to a chronic medical condition.
Clifford went to school at Blumenau School until grade 3 or 4, then continued grade school in Botha. He went to Red Deer Composite High School for one year.
He went to work for the town of Stettler for a few years before he started to work for Doctors Bill Harrison and Jim DiCola doing blood testing on cattle until May of 1963. He was then hired with the Department of Agriculture and worked with them until he retired at the age of 55.
His grandchildren Cally and Cody had a special place in his heart. He was very proud of their accomplishments. He had a passion for the sport of bull riding, horse racing and the cattle industry.
He will be missed.
Cliff is survived by his wife Louella of 60 years; sons Calvin (Lora) Strandquist and Brad (Kathy) Strandquist; grandchildren Cally Strandquist and Cody Standquist; sister Beverly Shaw; brother Alfred Strandquist; and niece Pamela Shaw; as well as other family and many dear friends.
Predeceased by his parents Richard and Margaret.
Friends and Family joined in memory of Cliff at Calvin & Lora’s House for a time of fellowship.
