Please share a memory of William to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

William James Lyle

December 6, 1948 ~ April 7, 2025

Bill was born in Stettler, Alberta the youngest of three children to David and Laurine (Laura) Lyle. Bill was raised on the family farm and lived there his entire life. He was a quiet, reserved man and did things in a simple manner. His heart was farming from very young and rather than going to school Bill picked rocks, roots and helped with the harvest. He liked dogs, collecting antique tractors, going to a few farm sales, camping, visiting and community history. Bill was a very kind, caring and loving person. He liked to get enjoyment and pleasure out of what he did. The farm consisted of livestock and grain.

On December 18, 1982, Bill married Louisa May Rodgers, known as May, and worked together to build the farm bigger. Bill and May helped get monuments for various family members.

Bill is survived by his wife May of 42 years; nephews David (Gail) Lyle and Daniel (Brenda) Lyle and their families; brother-in-law Harry (Natalie) Rodgers and their families; sister-in-law Bevereley Fillinger and her families; other relatives and many dear friends.

Bill is predeceased by his parents David and Laura; brother Thomas and sister Shirley.
