Obituary of Lee Cameron Winslow
Lee Cameron Winslow
October 9, 1943 – July 8, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Lee Cameron Winslow of Stettler, Alberta announces his sudden passing at the Red Deer Hospital on July 8, 2025, at the age of 81 years.
Lee was born on October 9, 1943, in Drumheller, Alberta to Wanda and Parker Winslow. He grew up in Drumheller, attended school and lending a hand with janitorial duties at local schools alongside his father.
Over the years, Lee built a life defined by hard work, dedication, and love for his community. He worked for the Town of Drumheller, spent time on the service rigs and in pipeline construction, and later his family moved from Drumheller to Stettler in 1983 where he managed the Hi-Way 9 office. Until his retirement, he was a valued employee at Heartland Industries.
Lee’s passions were simple but meaningful. He loved fishing, drag races, car shows, and family gatherings. He was an avid hockey fan and cherished time spent with his pets. One of his favorite things was watching his grandchildren play sports—he was always their biggest supporter. He also had a special fondness for his yellow Ford Ranger.
Lee will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his easy-going nature, and most of all, his deep love for his family—especially his grandchildren.
Lee is survived by his loving wife Sharon Winslow of 52 years together; children: Bonnie, Juanita (Paul), Sherry and Cam (Shannon); grandchildren: Matt, Cheri, Jesse, Angel, Ashley, Chantel, Katrena, Allison, Brianna, Bailey, Ethan, Rayna and Zander; great grandchildren: Logan, Scarlett, Olivia and Luca; sisters Delores Demott and Velma Dunlop; brother-in-law Joe Demott; nieces and nephews: Wayne, Karen, Jeff, Reg, Kelly, Gord, Marty, Jill, Mike, Tom, Don, Brad and Cathy; as well as many other relatives and friends.
Lee is predeceased by parents Wanda and Parker Winslow; sisters Wanita (Ivan) Olsen, Gerry (Wayne) McComb and Pat (Jack) Elkes; brother-in-law Francis Dunlop and grandson Corey Easton.
