Obituary of Jane Doan

Sharon Jane Doan

September 26, 1940  ~  July 15, 2025

Jane Doan of Castor, Alberta passed away peacefully on July 15th at Castor, Alberta, with her loving husband Phil and her children Bart, Heather and Tyler beside her as she entered into Heaven.

She was born in Windsor, Ontario September 26, 1940 to Edwin and Marion Brown, along with her twin sister Shelley Moloy and followed later by younger brother Bart Brown.

Jane was known for her endless amount of energy, enthusiasm and was always up for a shopping day. You always knew where you stood with Jane especially with her famous eye roll.

Even up to her last days on earth she would comment "Well let’s get this show on the road" as she was laying in a hospital bed.

Jane married Phil Doan on December 28^th, 1965, in Windsor, Ontario.

Janes life was full of adventures as she traveled to many  rodeos in the states and throughout Canada with Phil and kids. Making extra money nursing and being a wonderful mom to Bart(Zandra),  Heather(Maarten) and Tyler(Nancy).  

Jane adored her grandkids Levi (Katie), Benson (Elly), Jake(Sydney), Austin ( Julia), Alexa,  Easton, and Greta, and great grandkids Tinley, Sutton and Wesley Van Hienen.

 In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Halkirk Circle Square Ranch, Box 3, Halkirk, Alberta  T0C 1M0.

Halkirk Community Hall, Halkirk, Alberta

Friday, July 25, 2025 at 3:00 P.M.

A light lunch will be provided after the celebration.
