Robert “Bob” Wakefield

December 24, 1954 ~ September 28, 2025

Robert Mark Wakefield was born on December 24, 1954 in Magrath, Alberta to parents Raymond and Pearl. He attended grade 1 in Magrath and then the family moved to Coronation in 1962. There he completed his schooling and graduated in 1972. His first job was with Hughes Oilfield Construction where he fell in love with running heavy equipment and trucks, which led him throughout the province working various construction jobs.

On January 15, 2005, he married Jean. With the marriage came an instant family – daughter Aimee, son-in-law Adam and grandson Clayton. In 2007, Bob and Jean left everything behind in Taber to move to Coronation to take over the family farm. Bob was finally back at the place he loved the most. He juggled his trucking job with the farm. Bob and Jean spent countless hours rebuilding the farm together. After he retired from his trucking job, it gave him more time to tinker in his shop. In 2022, Carston was born, and he became a great grandfather. He Was thrilled and talked about him all the time.

Robert passed away on September 28, 2025 at the Red Deer Regional Hospital.

Bob is survived by his loving wife Jean; daughter Aimee (Adam) Pulvermacher; grandson Clayton (Katrina) Pulvermacher; great grandson Carston Pulvermacker; Vern Wakefield and family; Evie Hillmer and family; John Leuck and family; Bonnie Shaw and family; Sherri Hewitt and family; other family and many friends.
