Jeremy Wayne Nichols

July 8, 1975 ~ November 17, 2025

We are deeply saddened to announce the sudden passing of Jeremy at the age of 50 years. Jeremy was the first son born to Barb & Roger Nichols on July 8, 1975 in Stettler, Alberta. He was raised on the family farm near Erskine, Alberta with brothers Jody, Jonathon, uncles Raymond and Mike Nichols.

Being raised on the farm gave him his strong work ethics, passion for farming, welding, mechanics and most of all….hunting.

Jeremy attended Erskine school through to grade 9 and then completed his schooling in Stettler at William E. Hay Composite High School. This was where he met the love of his life, Trish.

Trish and Jeremy continued their life together in the Stettler area, where they welcomed their daughter, Makayla and their son, Keaton. In 2005, they moved to Rich Valley to a small farm where the sky was the limit. Jeremy continued growing his prized farming, cattle and welding operation. In 2011, they welcomed their second son, Jace.

In 2018, Makayla blessed them with their first grandson, Emmit, and in 2020 came their second grandson, Elias. Jeremy easily fell into the role of becoming the grand kids, “Pop” and spoiled them to no end. He loved chasing the grandbabies to give them a silly little “love nibble” while they giggled and ran from him. Those moments, those memories, are some of the greatest gifts he left behind.

In 2021, Jeremy headed to the Trans Mountain Expansion pipeline in B.C. During his time working near Valemount, he fell in love with the mountainous sceneries, Rivers and community. This is also when he stumbled upon his dream ranch, moved the family, the cattle from Alberta and settled along the Fraser River.

Jeremy continued working in the pipeline industry throughout Western Canada and showcasing his ranch along the Fraser River.

Jeremy was all of ours, he was our best friend and our safe place. He was our laughter on days we didn’t think we could laugh, and he was our strength when we felt weak. He was the kindest, funniest, rough around the edges man that somehow made this world feel softer just by being in it. Jeremy lived a life of love, sacrifice and devotion.

To his wife and kids, he was everything. He wasn’t just a husband and father; he was their lifeline. He was their first call, last call, and the father you would call for anything. These moments and memories are some of the greatest gifts he left behind.

To his daughter, he was her angel on earth, her comfort, her soulmate in the purest sense a father could be, and her safe place.

To his sons, he taught them how to be strong men with gentle hearts. To think for themselves, to build, plan, and love life to the fullest.

Jeremy will be truly and forever missed by all that loved and knew him.
