Obituary of Connie Angela Cox
Connie Angela Cox
May 29, 1974 - November 22, 2025
Connie Angela Cox of Stettler, beloved wife of Davis Cox was called home to be with God on November 22, 2025, at the age of 51 years.
Connie was born in Coronation, Alberta on May 29, 1974 to her loving parents Larry and Lorna Finkbeiner. She grew up in her hometown, attending Coronation School from Kindergarten to Grade 12. In Connie’s younger years her spirit of determination was evident. She was a leader and surrounded herself with some great friends that would last a lifetime.
After graduation, she attended Marvel Beauty School in Red Deer where she received her journeyman certificate in hairdressing.
Connie moved back to Coronation and married the love of her life Davis Cox on July 19, 1997. Together they built a beautiful life raising two children, Kennedy (born November 27, 1998) and Maleigha (born March 30, 2000).
In 2004, they moved to Stettler where Connie continued to practice hairdressing within the home whilst raising her daughters. She then held multiple other jobs such as Stettler GM, John Deere, Chapman and Company, Leschert’s and Associates, and CAPE manufacturing.
Connie was also involved in multiple community groups and clubs, including Stettler Silver Star 4H club, Castor Sorting Club, Donalda Ranch Horse Club, Botha Old Tyme Dancing Club, and the Over the Hill riding club, and most recently spearheaded the Together Courageous: Stettler Cancer Support Group. She held many positions within these clubs including secretary and treasurer. She always worked diligently within these clubs to uphold a standard of excellence within the group.
Connie was known for her passions of family, horses, camping, and hosting special events. She supported her family in all things, never missing a Christmas concert, horse event, or simply being there for the most important moments of her family.
Connie’s love for family, friends, and community was endless, she was always lending a helping hand, giving her time and heart to others generously.
Connie dedicated her life to the Lord and developed a deep and personal relationship with Jesus. She loved to share how Jesus changed her life and in turn many lives were changed. Her Saviour is her anchor and even in illness, Connie knew she would be safe in the arms of Jesus. It was Connie’s greatest desire to share the goodness of the Lord to everyone.
There will be a large space left in Connie’s absence and we will all miss her dearly. Our hope, as was hers, is in Jesus Christ. As she has reunited with those passed before her, we will one day see her again in the presence of our Heaveny Father. We will treasure the memories and profound impact she had on all that had the fortunate opportunity to be apart of her life.
Connie is survived by her loving husband Davis Cox; daughters Kennedy (Kieran) Rost and Maleigha Cox; grandchildren Eliza, Liam and Mason; sisters Tracey (Lee) Twa and Paula (Shawn) Kobi; father and mother-in-law Bob and Caroline Cox; brother-in-law Carmen (Nicole) Cox; nieces and nephews Danea (Dorjan) Helmeczi, Shania Twa, Aiden Kobi, Keirsen Kobi, Caleb Kobi and Colton Cox; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and their families.
