In Loving Memory of

Dixie Blanche Robertson (née Vaine)

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Dixie Blanche Robertson (née Vaine), who left us peacefully, surrounded by love.

Dixie was a woman of quiet strength and boundless creativity. She found joy in the simple, purposeful rhythms of life—working the land, tending her garden, writing, and drawing. A creator and a maker at heart, she could transform the ordinary into something meaningful. Whether nurturing a seed in the soil or an idea on paper, Dixie approached it with patience, curiosity, and care.

She will be forever cherished by her son Nathan Reid and his wife Dalea, as well as her beloved grandchildren: Daylan Sowan, Shayla Reid and Greyson Reid, who filled her life with pride and delight. Dixie will also be lovingly remembered by her siblings: Linda Bohme (Lloyd), Kevin Vaine (Lorraine), Richard Vaine (Louise) and Donna Reichardt (Alan).

She is reunited in peace with her parents, Edward George Vaine and June Marie Vaine (née Hogarth); and brother Philip Vaine.

Dixie lived life gently but with purpose. She cherished tradition, valued hard work, and had an eye for beauty in all its forms. Those who knew her will remember her for her wisdom, her warmth, and the quiet way she encouraged others simply by being herself.

Her hands built, shaped, and nurtured. Her heart loved deeply.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
