Roy Janzen

February 15, 1952 ~ December 2, 2025

With great sadness we announce the sudden passing of loving husband, brother and grandfather Roy Matthew Janzen of Coronation, beloved husband of Wilma passed away suddenly on December 2, 2025 at the age of 73 years.

Roy was raised on a farm near Medstead, Saskatchewan. He worked at various community pastures across the prairies until finally finding his one true partner Wilma and settled down on a farm near Coronation, Alberta where he became an amazing stepdad to Tammy, Seth’s mom.

If you see a barbed-wire fence anywhere in the Coronation area, Roy probably built it. He enjoyed leather work as well, repairing saddles, building bridles, halters and the like.  Raising cattle and keeping horses around were a must, but he had a way with any animal.

Roy is survived by his loving wife Wilma; children Terrence Omilusik, Tim Omilusik and Tammy Omilusik; grandson Seth Hewitt; siblings Georgia (Glen) Davies, John (Wanda) Janzen, Valerie (Carey) Drossel, Connie Mann, Dale (Darlene) Janzen, Judy (Ken) Wilkinson, Percy (Michelle) Janzen and Denine (Greg) Prill; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Roy was predeceased by his parents Vera and Art Janzen; brothers Robert and Arthur; brother-in-law Murray Mann.
