Our History
Dean Ross, in partnership, bought Parkview Funeral Chapels (1985) Ltd. business from James and Helen Coverdale in 1993; operating both the Castor and Coronation locations of Parkview Funeral Chapels. Dean started in funeral service with Pierson’s Funeral Home in Calgary in 1989, graduating from the Alberta School of Mortuary Science in 1993.
In 1996 the partnership bought the current building in Stettler, Alberta from the Pentecostal Assembly of Canada and started Stettler Funeral Home, opening in the fall. In 2005 a crematorium was added to the current building and making it the only local crematorium; saving many hours of travel time. In 2009 Dean Ross bought out the partnership and became sole owner of both Parkview Funeral Chapels and Stettler Funeral Home.
Today Stettler/Parkview Funeral Chapels operate with a very dedicated staff of five licensed directors, four holding dual licenses as embalmers and several funeral attendants.
