Obituary of Janet Marjorie Marshall

Janet Marjorie Marshall, 89 of Castor, Alberta passed away on March 16, 2019 at St. Theresa Place in Calgary, Alberta. Madge was born in Castor, Alberta to Charles and Susan Marshall on September 21, 1929. She attended Lauderdale School and went on to work for Alberta Government Telephones as an operator. She later began working for Canada Post and was there for many years before she retired. Madge volunteered for the Castor Museum and was involved in many other community activities. Madge is predeceased by her parents Charles and Susan as well as her sister Evelyn O’Dell; brother-in-law Albert O’Dell; brother-in-law Ray Meyer; sister-in-law June Marshall; nephews Richard Toporowski; Darren O’Dell and Peter Crickmore. Madge is survived by her sister Eva Meyer; brother James Marshall; many nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews. The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Vanessa Miller along with the wonderful and caring staff at St. Theresa Place. There will be a private family service and in lieu of flowers or cards memorials may be given to a charity of your choice in her memory.
