Obituary of Katherine Alvina Cox

Katherine Alvina Cox, known to us as Kae, beloved wife to Keith for 54 years, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at the age of 89 years. She began her life in Rhein, Saskatchewan on July 23, 1921. Kae was the fifth child of twelve born to Annie and Fred Becker. She met Keith and they were married on July 10, 1956 where they moved to Stettler in 1965. Kae’s faith, family and friends were very important to her; she was very hospitable, her home always open to anyone who, wished to stop in for coffee and something she had lovingly baked. She enjoyed excellent health until recently and she was blessed to have her husband Keith as her main caregiver, allowing her to live at home. Kae will be lovingly remembered by her husband Keith Cox of Stettler; daughter Cathy (Laurie) Budd of Peace River and their children: Amanda (John) Webb, Leah (Scott) Anderson, Charlotte (Shawn) Forgie and Everett Budd; son Clayton (April) Cox of Delta, BC and their children Devin Cox and Graham Cox; 2 great grandchildren: Jaxon Webb and his new baby sister Karys Sarah Katherine Webb; 6 sisters: Freda Baldwin, Florence Gilbert, Miriam Roemmich, Dorothy Wiebking, Elenore Gabert, Betty (Ken) Belsher; 1 brother Ken (Lynn Ann) Becker; sister in law Irma Becker; brother in law Otto Fandrich; Keith’s brothers and their wives and extended families; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. Kae was predeceased by her parents Annie and Fred; sister Pauline Fandrich; brothers Bill Becker, Jon Becker and Alvin Becker in infancy; sister in law Dorothy Becker; brothers in law: Ross Gilbert, Gideon Roemmich, Walter Wiebking, Denis Gabert, Harvey Baldwin and Stan Cox. Celebration of Life was held at Erskine Evangelical Church with Rev. Ross Helgeton officiating. Interment was held at Lake View Cemetery with Devin Cox, Graham Cox, Everett Budd, Cody Mills, Brandon Mills and Scott Anderson as Pallbearers.
