Obituary of Rosemarie Repp

Rosemarie Repp Rosemarie (Rosemary) Repp passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, at the Stettler Hospital and Care Centre on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at the age of 95 years. Rosemarie was born on December 15, 1921 in Brunig, Switzerland to Hans and Pauline Wittwer. In 1925 Rosemary, along with her mom and three of her siblings, immigrated to Canada settling in the Blumenau district. In 1933 the family moved to a farm southwest of Stettler where they welcomed two more daughters. On April 12, 1944 married Erwin Repp and started farming on a farm south of Stettler. During this time they welcomed two children Doug and Debbie. In 1948 they bought their farm north of Stettler, in the Pilotknob district, and farmed there until their retirement in 1992 at which time they moved into the town of Stettler. Rosemary enjoyed crocheting, gardening, tending to her flowers and nature. In later years she enjoyed playing cards and floor curling at the Seniors Centre. Because Erwin enjoyed listening to and playing music she also enjoyed going to numerous musical events where she would meet up with old friends or meet new friends that she retained for many years. But her favorite times were when she just had her family around. She is lovingly remembered by her children Doug Repp of Hanna, Debbie Novak of Red Deer, and grandchildren Tara (Rayall), Warren (Ashley) and Tannis (Bob), great grandchildren Michael, Cody, Kadence, Zack and Jayda. She will also be sadly missed by her sisters Marguerite Baugh of Stettler and Linda Therou of Renton, Washington as well as many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and long time friends. Rosemary was predeceased by her husband Erwin Repp, brothers Karl and John, sister Hattie and sisters-in-law Margaret, Hilda and Dora and brothers-in-law Jim, Russ and Harold.
