Obituary of Deborah Joyce Ann Hunter

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Deborah Joyce Ann after a long battle with cancer. Her passing will be mourned by husband Dave, daughter Quin (David); her brother Ron (Helen) and numerous nieces and nephews. Deb was born in Calgary but was raised in Red Deer from the age of 5. She received a diploma in Art and Design from the Red Deer College in 1974. On March 19, 1977 she married David Hunter in Red Deer. They later moved to Stettler and on December 11, 1983 their one and only child, a girl, Quinlin Paige was born. Deb took a lengthy hiatus from her art to nurture her family and enjoy life’s other pursuits while working for many years at the Royal Bank and Designer Frames. While working at Designer Frames her passion for art re-surfaced and she again took up her palette and brushes. After her family, art was her greatest pleasure and she completed many beautiful paintings that are enjoyed by family, friends, and clients. Deb was predeceased by her father Kenneth and mother Dorothy. Debbie will be greatly missed by all who knew her and we will remember her. A memorial service will be held at the Heartland Chapel of Stettler Funeral Home on June 14th at 2:00PM with Rev. Ross Helgeton officiating. As an expression of sympathy and in loving memory of Debbie, memorial contributions can be made to the Stettler Health Services Foundation (Stettler Home Care) or the Alberta Cancer Foundation in care of the Stettler Funeral Home Box 1780, Stettler, Alberta T0C 2L0.
