Obituary of Pauline Estelle Christian

Please share a memory of Pauline to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Pauline E. Christian was born on November 12, 1948 and passed away in her own home in Stettler, Alberta with her loving husband Perry at her side on June 10, 2020 following health issues.

Pauline Estelle Lapointe was born in Timmins, Ontario to Ovila and Eva (Tellier) Lapointe.  She was the ninth child in a family of ten.  Pauline was always proud of her family: older brother John; younger brother Andre as well as seven older sisters: Berenice, Ghislaine, Marguerite, Madeleine, Rose, Jeanne and Iréne.

In 1970 in Timmins she met Perry and six months later they were married on March 6, 1971.  The friendship continued for almost fifty years.

They lived in Montreal, Quebec, then went to University in Sudbury, Ontario, on to Estevan, Saskatchewan and finally to Stettler, Alberta.

At Pauline’s request there will be no funeral service.  Cremation will take place and her ashes will be placed at some of her favourite places: her backyard, as well as hiking, bicycling, canoeing, snowshoeing and cross-country ski trails.

To remember Pauline please pause next time you hear or see a bird or stop to smell or view a flower.  She will be with you enjoying the birds and flowers as she always did.

Pauline is survived by her husband Perry; her family: sister Marguerite (Don) Beauchamp; brother in law Joe Girodat; sister Rose Cote (David Sloan); sister Jeanne (Terry) Lathangue; sister Irene Monteith and brother Andre (Sharlene) Lapointe.  She is also survived by Perry’s family: his sister June King; brother Bernie (Judy) Christian and sister in law Kathy Mannweiller; numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and their families as well as a multitude of good friends.
