I was both shocked and deeply saddened to read about Holley's passing. I first met Holley in the summer of 1972 when we both worked at the Digby Pines. Holley had finished first year at The Mount and I studied at Acadia. Our friendship quickly blossomed and we decided to return to work at the Pines the next summer of 1973 as roommates and forever friends. During our University years, we hitchhiked together, spent New Years' Eve of 1973 with friends from the Pines, dreamed big dreams and kept in close contact.We took our first plane trip together to visit her relatives in Boston then on to New York. We missed our flight back and spent an adventurous (and hilarious) night in the vacant Boston airport. John and I were proud to include Holley as a bridesmaid at our 1975 wedding.
We both moved to Alberta and Holley visited us in Calgary in the early 80s. I have tried unsuccessfully to reach Holley over the years. I sincerely regret that we never connected. Sad to realize that such a happy, caring and bright lady is no longer with us. My sincere condolences to Sarah and Heather, her friends and to this she inspired and touched throughout her life.
