Obituary of Leona Lettie Quartly

Leona (Voysey) Quartly was born on August 3, 1934 in Stettler, Alberta to parents Berniece and George Voysey.  Leona passed away on November 20, 2020 in Stettler, Alberta at the age of 86 years.

Leona will be forever missed by her loving family, children: son Keith (Bonny) Douglas, daughters Debbie (Kevon) Roed and Cherie Pochylko; sister Shirley Stolee; grandchildren: Alesha (Dave), Ashley (Larry), Amber (Daniel), Tyler (Meagan), Kari (Cam), Steve (Carrie), Scott (Keisha) and Heather (Andrew); great grandchildren: Brittany, Alison, Austin, Josh, Reece, Zack, Abbie, Ryan, Austin, Cooper, Zach and Elizabeth; step grandchildren Troy (Lori) and Rob (Sharon); step great grandchildren: Ellie, Shay, Chase, Kypton and Rowan; as well as other family members and many dear friends.  Leona was predeceased by her husband Bill Quartly, son Ronnie Douglas, son in law Lorence Pochylko, parents George and Berniece Voysey, brother Bob Voysey and sister Vera Paulson.

Leona had many interests, she made beautiful quilts for her family and friends, enjoyed knitting, sewing, going for walks, garage sales and LOVED shopping.  She volunteered in the community over the years and sang in the choir.  Her greatest joy was the love for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She is leaving many fond memories for all of us to cherish.

A celebration of Leona’s life will be held at a later date.  In memory donations are gratefully accepted to the Stettler Hospice Society or a charity of the donor’s choice.
