In loving memory of Clyde Eugene (Gene) Stanford born May 16, 1943 in Calgary, Alberta and passed away on December 7, 2020 at the age of 77 years.

Gene was a successful businessman and accomplished sculptor and carver.  He enjoyed travel, good food, watching and participating in sports.  Gene’s open and friendly nature made him also  a successful negotiator.  Always ready to consider a compromise, good will and fairness made him a natural defender of the defenseless.  He truly was a friend to people; always ready to help.  Like his wife, he enjoyed a strong bond and membership with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints which was reflected in his lifestyle.

Gene is survived by brothers Wade Stanford and Thomas Stanford; children:  Debra M. Stanford; three stepchildren: Walter T. Gahler, Heidi M. Kulhawy and Sabrina S. Park; step grandchildren: Teagan, Morgan, Hannah, Tess Gahler, Matthew, Joshua, Christopher Kulhawy and John W. Park.

Gene is predeceased by his loving wife Ursula;  they enjoyed a very close and loving relationship for many years, parents Clyde and Mildred Stanford and sister Marcia Renn.

Gene will be greatly missed by his friends and associates for his smiling personality and positive example under difficult circumstances.

Funeral Services for the late Gene Stanford will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at the Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Stettler, Alberta.
