I knew Kenny when I worked at a cafe in downtown Red Deer in my early twenties. He was our favorite customer . He’d usually perch at the bar and chat to us about music and events.. he always had big plans . Over the years I’ve thought about him often and wondered if we was ok. Lovely to read the tributes and see a picture of him on his bike.

Kenny was a kind, sweet soul who brought a smile to all who knew him! I got to know Kenny better when he joined the P.A.L.S. Program and we all loved him. He loved to read aloud to us from his books and entertained the seniors with his stories, Kenny talked often of his grandmother and it comforts to know that he is reunited with her now. May God wrap you in his arms and bring you Peace.

Its deeply saddening to see the loss of one of the towns greatest personalities. Kenny was someone who you could always talk to, and in doing so you would have an amazing conversation. That conversation made hours seem like minutes due to him keeping you engulfed in history and curiosity. I will never forget seeing him sitting in front of the glass windows of the blue arena, watching the practice’s of the many different teams, often chatting with players or parents. The loss of Kenny is the loss of a man who was a staple in the Stettler community. Rest In Peace Kenny, you will be deeply missed.

Sorry to hear of Kenny’s passing. I knew Kenny for many years and always considered him the unofficial statesman of Stettler. You could see Kenny wherever you travelled in Stettler. If you had the time to talk to him he would regale you with grandiose stories always the same about promoting entertainment and the investigation trail he was following on his family past generation fortunes. The great detail about the latter and the consistency of the story time after time always impressed me.
Kenny was a gentle soul who lived a life without great means. I say kindly that Kenny was a unique character and that I am richer for having known him.

I just want to say Kenny was a unique person in his own right. He knew and observed much more than most as he walked and road the streets of Stettler. Kenny was no more perfect than any of us are but he was ALWAYS friendly, ready to help and loved music and ESPECIALLY recording. He accomplished that against ALL odds. He also knew more about what was really happening on the streets of Stettler than most. STETTLER FRIENDS WILL MISS YOU KENNY! WE KNOW YOU ARE SINGING IN HEAVEN NOW. FREE OF ANY PAIN OR SUFFERING. I HOPE YOUR WISH TO DONATE TO TOWN OF STETTLER( DISABLED ACCESS TO STORES, CURBS ETC.) WILL BE HONORED NOW YOU ARE GONE Z - IN MEMORY OF YOU KENNY. I KNOW THAT WAS ANOTHER DREAM YOU HAD. I worked with TELUS 2006-2013. I drove around town every day all day so I got to see Ken A LOT. Mostly riding his bike around. Always friendly and saying hello with a smile. Some days we would chat it up. I moved back in 2019 and met him at the rec center one time. same old friendly Ken. Rest in Peace good buddy!! ~~ Andy Armstrong

I remember Kenny when I went to High School in Stettler. Spent a lot of time our front of Cassey and Alice's pool hall listening to Kenny tell us all about a concert he was planning with all the acts he wanted to.book. In our imaginations it was going to be an awesome event. It may have never happened in reality, but Kenny made it real in our minds. The world has lost a great peaceful sole that has meant so much to generations of people in Stettler. RIP buddy
