Obituary of Susan Bell

Please share a memory of Susan to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Susan was born in the Stettler Hospital to Ken and Naomi Deems; she was raised with two younger siblings on the family farm southwest of Erskine.

Susan's schooling from Grades 1 to 9 was at the Erskine School and then she continued her education at Wm. E Hay Composite High School from which she graduated.

After graduating from high school, she went to work at Cable Travel for three years.  She then moved to Red Deer to work at the ATB before returning to Stettler to continue her career with ATB.  That career took her from the Stettler ATB to the Coronation branch and then back to Stettler for 30 years of ATB employment.  She retired from ATB in 2002.

Within these years she married, raised two wonderful children who married and made Susan a loving grandmother.  She had many great friends and coworkers.  Susan loved people and socializing.

After retirement Susan separated from her husband who later passed away.

In the last two years Susan met the love of her life Brian and was extremely happy.

Susan will be sadly missed and leaves to mourn her passing, father Ken Deems of Stettler; son Jason (Karen) Bell of Airdrie; daughter Jodi Bell (Rodney Whiteside) of Stettler; grandchildren: Chelsi Balogh, James Sirman, Scott’s wife Samantha Derosiers; Samantha Skinner (Kyle Parks), Matthew Skinner, Tia Fitzpatrick and Jakoby Fitzpatrick; partner Brian Godlonton of Stettler; brother Lorne Deems (Sharon Nemetz) of Stettler; sister Karen (Russell) Jones of Erskine; nephews Shayne (Joy) Jones and their children Jaxton, Jayda and Summer, Dean (Danelle) Jones and their children Dominik, Xander, Isabella and Hayden; other family members and many dear friends.
