Obituary of Janine Sarah Glasier

Please share a memory of Janine to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Janine Sarah Marie Glasier (nee Gareau)

It is with profound sadness that the family of Janine Sarah Marie Glasier announce her passing on June 17, 2021, at the age of 41 years.  Beloved wife, cherished mother, daughter, sister, best aunty, and friend. Janine fought a short and brave battle with an aggressive cancer that took her life at such a young age.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 19 years, James; children Brooke, Thomas, Katlyne and Matthew; parents, Luc and Cecile Gareau; sister Joanne Rabut (Ryan) and their children Desiree, Ryder and Mila; brothers Ryan Gareau (Dorothy) and their children Dustin and Jordan and Raymond Gareau (Lynette) and their children Solange, Caleb, Blanche and Claire; grandmother Jacqueline LeBlanc; in-laws Wayne and Margery Glasier; brother in-law Kenneth Glasier (Alisa) and their children Anthony and Andrea; numerous aunts and uncles, cousins and so many friends.

She was predeceased by her grandparents Claude LeBlanc, Isidore and Yvette Gareau, Olive and Peter Bodnarchuk as well as her uncles Lucien Gareau and Martin Rancourt.

Janine was married to the love of her life on June 22, 2002, and soon after they settled on James’ family farm near Gadsby, Alberta. Here they raised 4 beautiful children. Janine spent her time being the best mother, involved in every aspect of their kids’ lives. She was involved in many activities that the kids took part in such as the soccer, being an archery coach, junior forest warden program just to name a few. Her kids and her husband were her life. She spent so much of her time creating memories and going on adventures. She adored all children, and her nieces and nephews were like her own children. She absolutely loved camping, fishing, and the outdoors. She was an excellent photographer, graphic designer, and scrapbook queen. She was devoted to her church; her faith and God were an especially important part of her life.  She will be forever in our hearts. We will always cherish the memories we have made with her.

Covid restrictions will be lifted on July 1st, 2021, in the province of Alberta and therefore we are able to gather to celebrate Janine’s life.   All are invited to view Janine's prayers and funeral mass via website if you are unable to attend.  Please click on the link on the Stettler Funeral Home & Crematorium website.
