I was extremely saddened to hear of Ruth and Gerald's passing. My deepest condolences to Dennis, Laurie, Wayne, Kirk and Garnett. May loving memories of them comfort you at this time, and in the coming days. They were the proudest of parents and grandparents. Their relationship was a shining example of true love. I am grateful I had the opportunity to speak to Ruth not too long ago. She always maintained a positive outlook, no matter what she faced. I will remember her smile, laugh and generosity of spirit. I have many fond memories of Gerald and Ruth from my younger years; They were great neighbors and always made me feel welcomed when I came over. To Ruth’s family, I am so sorry for your loss. Ruth was always ready to volunteer at the hospital whenever I called upon her, smile on her face and spring in her step. She always commented to me how much she enjoyed her bit of time boarding at my Granny’s house (Millie Riddell) before she married.

Dennis , Wayne and families. We were shocked and saddened to hear of your parents passing, and that they passed so close to each other. We had a visit with your Mom at the Stampede parade in Stettler. She told us about her diagnosis but seemed in good spirits. She was her bubbly, smiley self. We had some good ball trips with your Mom and Dad when Chris and Dennis played ball together that summer. They will be missed by all that knew them!! Bob and Shirley Schulze.
