I lived with Jean from 1998 to 2000 season when i played with the Tigers. I remember cracking the towel at her while drying dishes and then having her chase me out of the kitchen with a giant wooden spoon while laughing and saying "dont get the Irish up in me". And trying to pull start her rototiller for her garden and it free spun while she walked behind me and my elbow hit her in the eye, knocking her down and she was laughing, and she didnt miss the chance to tell all at the next hockey game who gave her the black eye.. She also was there when my grandma passed during the season and was always willing to listen and be there. She was part of our family. We would talk around christmas every year, and I just found out today.. Jean i love you and miss you. Konrad Brand

Dear Glenna and family, I am sorry to hear of Mom's passing. I knew Jean for many years of curling and friendship. Your mom, Irene Scott and I shared a few glasses of wine in recent years She was a super nice lady and I send sincere condolences and hope she throwing a curling rock or two in heaven. I am attaching a picture of my dog and your mom on one of the last times we enjoyed wine in the afternoon at my place. GJ took a real liking to her and she thought it was quite OK.

She was a great lady and a friend to many at Westminster United Church in Medicine Hat where Kim and I got to meet and work with Jean on the Board, Committee's and many volunteer projects and events over the years. Jean was such a kind caring welcoming energetic wonderful lady. I was always in aw of her sassy tell it like it is but with kindness personality. When I first met her through Glenna she kind of scared me she was the opposite of my Mom who is very shy and quiet. It didn’t take long for me to admire her and look forward to spending time with her. Wonderful friend who is missed but never forgotten.
