Obituary of Archie Edward Lunevich
In Loving Memory of Archie Lunevich
January 3, 1936 ~ November 30, 2022
Archie Edward Lunevich was born January 3, 1936 at home south of Stettler in the Fritz Hill / Linda Hall area. Archie was the youngest of four children born to Steve and Annie Lunevich. Archie attended Fritz Hill School until grade 9 when he started farming full time with his dad and brother. Archie and Albert purchased the family farm from their dad and ran a mixed farming/ranching operation. Raised and showed purebred Simmental cattle and won multiple awards. Archie and Albert purchased their prized possession of a Volvo industrial tractor that served them very well for many years.
Archie retired from farming in 1998 and moved to their current acreage located east of Stettler. Archie had numerous hobbies and passions throughout the years. Archie and Ila raced snowmobiles and filled multiple display cases with numerous racing trophies. Trailered them to numerous mountains and trails. He loved golfing and had a very unique swing that served him well. Spent many hours riding quads with family and friends.
He was always in the shop, loved tinkering and was very adept at creating and building things. He could repair most anything and loved to make his own modifications.
Archie was very active in the Linda Hall Men’s club and volunteered his time selflessly. Archie and Ila travelled extensively with family and friends to numerous countries such as Australia, New Zealand, safaris and hot air balloon rides in Africa, riverboat cruises in Europe and Russia, Mexico, Venezuela and multiple states in the US.
Many weekends were spent camping at Boss Hill with friends and family.
