Mr. Stromberg as he always was to me. Never forgot a pupil of his and could tell stories on all of us. A couple of years ago he sat down in my son Todd’s yard with Linda Hegberg and I. He remembered all of us and even had a book with all our names. Some of our names should have been marked in red for all the trouble we caused that poor man. He was an awesome teacher. I’m sure he walks with many of the angels he taught. Our condolences to Lora and family.

Mr Stromberg was a wonderful teacher at Waverly School which I attended for nine years. Also our family enjoyed a fantastic trip to Disneyland which he organized so well ! Sincere sympathy to all the family.

Our condolences to Lora and family on the passing of Mel. He was a longtime friend of ours. Mel was an avid stamp collector with many volumes of stamps from around the world. He loved gardening, and his yard was replete with many beautiful, colourful flowers. Mel was a teacher and principal at Waverley school. He once told me when he worked in Camrose, he noticed teacher's salaries and thought he should become a teacher. We used to tease him about how much money he had. He loved to travel, and when school was out for summer holidays, he hit the road with his fifth wheel to parts of Canada and the USA. He will be missed, forever in our memories. Rest in peace Mel. I have many fond memories of my Waverly school years with Mel. My favorite is the Back to the 50’s family dance the teachers put on. We all dressed up as entertainers from that era. Mel was the hit of the night as Melvis Presley! Sincere condolences to Lora and family. Susan and Kevin Stewart

I really enjoyed working with Mel as a colleague in education in the County of Stettler, and considered him as a life-long friend. The trips he organized to Disneyland were classic! My deepest condolences to Laura and family.
