I didn't hear about Robbie's passing until today. I am sad to hear of it.
I enjoyed working with her at the Knox United Church when she played music.
She was so dedicated and had a twinkle in her eye I when I would ask for something new.
I am sure that she is sorely missed.

I'm saddened to hear the news of the passing of my friend Robbie. How did I know her? It's a long story but a good one so I'll condense it and share it. l'm a professional comedian based out of Saskatoon and a number of years ago I did a show in Consort. It was a fun night and for whatever reason I singled out Robbie and teased her from the stage a few times during my set. A short while later, I got a text from an agent of mine who asked if it would be ok to give out my private mail info to a lady who attended my show... I was a bit puzzled by it but he explained who it was and I saw no harm in it. All she wanted to do was to stay in touch and that we did! Hardly a week went by without an email from Robbie or a mailout of the local paper came to my mailbox. She would send me a Christmas card and even once called me at 3 am on Christmas Day just to wish me a Merry Christmas. Luckily she didn't wake me as I had just returned from a long running midnight mass so I was still up. I never quite understood why she desired my friendship - or pen pal-ship, but we always stayed in touch, sharing photos and stories of our lives. Her amazing pride in her community will always stand out to me.... the community of Consort and that whole area had a real gem in Robbie. If she was involved in anything, I'd get a clip of it from the local paper or an email detailing her frustrations playing music at her church. How lucky am I to have done that show and to meet such a special person such as her. As a comedian, I have met thousands and thousands of wonderful people but Robbie will always be special. My condolences to her family and all the people she had as friends, and I'm sure there were many. I know you'll miss her greatly, just as I do.

Remembering your Mom from the time we moved to Consort, especially at Archie & Laura's home.
Although I only worked with your Mom for a short time, mostly on a night shift, we had great conversations about everything. She was an inspiration. Always looked forward to seeing her when we returned for the Gun shows.

Deepest condolences to Doug & Pam and your families! I worked with Robbie at the clinic when I was hired in 1983. She would always stop to visit, and after I left the clinic in 2008, she would make a point of stopping to talk when I would be in Consort for some outing, especially her beloved Hospital Auxiliary Dinner Theatre . She was a very special lady and so dedicated to her work with the Auxiliary and her ‘Life lines’. I remember how excited she was to become Nana. Hugs and prayers to all of you.Terry Froland

What a beautiful photo of Robbie who I will always remember at the organ at St John's Anglican Church and Knox United Church. I was able to enjoy the Knox United services on You Tube for a time which was just like being back home. Robbie's championing of the Terry Fox Walk each fall was inspirational. Rest in peace after a life truly and well lived. Wendell Hennan

I feel very honoured to have known Nana for over 9 years. She was an inspiration to everyone around her and her passion for helping others and the community will live on for years to come. My favorite memory will always be her at our wedding being one the best Flower Grandmas we could ask for! I hope she is relaxing doing crosswords next to a big bowl of candy.

You were an amazing nana, I will always remember to set my knife and fork properly after eating but I’m never throwing away spot and elephant. I love you
