I met Katie in 2014 as my husband Duane and I were clients of Robin’s. A year and a half later I became a personal trainer myself and worked with Katie 2 times per week at Thrive. She was so warm to be around, genuine, so kind and caring. She had the best smile. She was fun and funny Always asked about my family, things I cared about. I too knew how much her boys and Jade meant to her. Her passion with her profession and things that were important to her shone bright. Such a sweet loving soul, she just felt good to be around. Katie you will be deeply missed. Our deepest sympathy to Jade, Brycen, Kameron and Luke. And all the family and friends that loved her or had the gift to know her or be part of her life.

I have many fond memories of Katie. Our lives have intertwined in so many different areas of our lives. Through hockey, helping my son with his speech, the gym, Lacrosse, and through my sister who was in one of her many friends circles. She has always had a positive impact on my family’s life and I will never forget her loving spirit and her warm heart. She was one of a kind and a true friend. I will miss you dearly Katie. One of my favourite memories of Katie, is when she caught wind that I was jackpotting in Stettler and she wanted to come watch! She drove up to our trailer and Mom, Katie and I talked for a bit. I said I was up soon and went to go check my draw and the two of them said they would be right over. I waited for my turn and then I was called up and I did my run. I thought maybe the two of them had already walked back to the trailer so I came back and the two of them looked shocked to see me. Turns out they we’re so busy taking they had completely missed my run and all we could do was laugh. Her laugh made everything so much brighter and hey it was the thought that counts Katie made my day that day and I know she won’t miss seeing anymore runs and she’s there cheering me on! I love you Katie

I have so many wonderful memories of Katie. Mostly I will miss sitting by the campfire with her, taking turns playing songs and showing each other our favourite music. Singing together, dancing together and most of all laughing together. I love you Katie.
