Obituary of Don Lane

 LANE, Donald Albert

December 10, 1932 - May 25, 2023

It is with heavy hearts and many tears we mark the passing of Don on May 25, 2023 at the Stettler Hospital.  Many thanks to the kind nurses and staff who attended to Don’s needs. 

Don leaves behind to mourn, his wife Margaret, his sister Darlene (Ron Fetterley) of North Carolina and his children Jim, Douglas, Gordon (Joanne Wiechnik) and Donna (Cooper).  He also leaves behind his extended family, Sharon (Andrew Kailan), Neil Chambers (Donna Langille), Kimberly (Jim Donaghy), Tracee Chambers (David Winter).  Don will also be missed by his grandchildren Adrian, Angela, Jessie, Daly, Torrance, Carson, Quinlan, Katie, Ashley, Emily, Brittany, Nathan and several great grandchildren.

Don touched the lives of many people during his 60 years of service to the Lord, and those people are far too numerous to mention.  May God watch over us all.

We will say our final goodbye to Don on June 2, 2023 @ 2:00 PM, at the Big Valley E-Free Church, Pastor Allan Clark officiating.  Viewing is from 12:30 PM until 1:45 PM the day of his funeral service.  A lunch will be provided following the service by E-Free ladies.
