Our sincere condolences to Maureen, Lynn, Lori, Barbara and families. Sheena was a good colleague and friend . She was always positive and made you feel better about the world because she was in it. She had a significant impact on her students. She was our son’s favourite teacher and he shared that sentiment with our good friend Len who had Sheena as his grade 8 & 9 teacher, a whole generation earlier. We have many fond memories of our times shared with your Mom & Dad. They were very proud of each of you and we want you to know we think you are a real credit and legacy to their memory. Dear Sheena, one of the kindest and gentlest people ever. Through coursework we shared long ago, and years and years of being teaching colleagues, her sincere and caring nature never faltered. Even at Grade 6 Outdoor Camp where the days were long and frantic. Sheena’s gentle caring nature easily showed through in her talented artwork as well. It was also a genuine pleasure sharing some giggles after music evenings at Points West, and she and I have shared many giggles over many years. Kindest condolences to her four lovely daughters, and all who knew her. Sheena was indeed a treasure!

I am so sorry to hear of your mom’s passing. I have some wonderful memories of the teaching years I was able to share with her. She was such a great mentor and I was fortunate to inherited her classroom when she retired. Cherish all your wonderful memories! Thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Mrs. Rumberger was one of my very favorite Elementary School teachers. She was so lovely and kind and patient. I can still hear her voice, teaching us about numerators, denominators and integers all those years ago….
