Obituary of Thomas Edward Weaver
In Loving Memory
Thomas Edward Weaver
May 21, 1960 ~ September 16, 2023
Thomas “Tommy” Edward Weaver passed away on September 16th at home surrounded by his loving wife and daughters.
Tom was born in Chatham Ontario, May 21, 1960 to Frank and Leah Weaver. Growing up with his brothers, sisters and friends where they frequently enjoyed fishing and playing baseball.
In 1981 Tom was called west to work with his brother Jim on a seismic crew. He quickly developed a love of the local landscape and met a local girl, Kim. By 1986 they were married and started their life together in the Stettler area and shortly thereafter were blessed with two daughters, Lisa and Jessica.
During the ensuing years Tom spent his time enjoying life with his family and travelling the globe with seismic crews. Tom spent time working in Alaska, Oman, all across the Lower 48 States and Canada. This is where he honed his mechanic skills and cooked gourmet meals in hotel rooms. His love of this unorthodox cooking led to a huge collection of gadgets and gizmos, so much that it filled the back seat of his truck.
On top of his traveling for work, he also traveled extensively with family and friends creating some of the best memories and experiences. From getting lost in Pairs, to navigating the roads in Ireland with no signs or climbing on a Mexican bar with new friends.
His family continued to grow with the arrival of four grandchildren: Max, Ian, Charlie, and Finley. Tom was always sure to share his love of mechanics, the outdoors and of course, Black Cherry ice cream, which he loved dearly.
Tom will be as greatly missed by all as he was loved by all those in his life.
Tom is survived by his loving wife Kim of 37 years; daughters Lisa (Ben) Christians and Jessica (James) Pivert; grandchildren Max, Ian, Charlie and Finley; mother Leah Weaver; mother in law Gayle Haustein; brothers Walter Weaver, Jim (Terry-Jo) Weaver, Bill (Susan) Elliot; sisters Marilyn Thomson, Esther (John) Fraser, Dorothy (Dave) Lock; brothers in law Kevin (Brenda) Haustein, Eric (Brenda) Haustein; sisters in law Nancy Weaver, Cheryl Weaver, Susan (Randy) Quesseth, Judy (Casey) Cook, Tanya (Cameron) Cassels, Teresa (John) Penner; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Tom was predeceased by father Frank Weaver; brothers: Alfred, Joe and baby brother Robert; father in law Walter Haustein; brothers in law Ken White and Mike Haustein and sister in law Shauna Haustein.
