Alderic Mac Catellier

October 8, 1987 - September 15, 2023

September 15, 2023, Alderic Catellier of Alix, AB passed away at 35 after a tragic car accident.

His huge grin and contagious laugh will live on forever.

He is survived by his father Pierre Catellier (Rita); mother Julie Oberg (David); sister Alison Goertzen (Tyler); nieces Georgia and Greta; brother Myles Catellier; nephews Travis and Ashton and brother Joel Catellier.

Alderic is a man of many passions; he worked as a heavy-duty equipment operator and can operate anything and would let you know it. Alderic lived and loved hard and knew everyone, he was a big old teddy bear, and was the loudest guy in the room. If there was chaos he was in the center. He lived to go fast. He loved his riverboat, dirt bike and skidoo. You could expect a call from him at least once a week, asking you to join in on the adventure.  He was the best Uncle out there; he loved spending time with his nieces and nephews. He had many of his best days on the mountain with his best friend Justin Garrett and brother Joel, TEAM CARRETT buddy! If you knew Alderic, there wasn’t a visit without a great big bear hug and a prickly faced kiss on the cheek. He loved to argue and was always down for a good prank.

 We were lucky to have you. May you and the rest of our crew get ripping on your boat, see you soon Ricky.

In lieu of flowers we ask that you consider donating to the distress centre for mental health or another charity. We all have battles we’re fighting, and this was a support that helped Ricky get through some tough times.

We invite everyone to join us in a celebration of Alderic’s life Saturday September 23, 2023 at 230pm at the Stettler Funeral Home, Stettler, Alberta followed by a gathering at Alderic’s farm.
