Jim was our neighbour across the street at White Sands when we first bought our property in 1996.
He came over immediately upon learning we were the new neighbours and offered up the first offer of help with anything we needed. The first of thousands of offers over the years. Jim helped us build our cabin, coming over every morning to see what we were up to, and offering his sage wisdom and guidance, never over-stepping, but always there to give advice. He would check in our progress periodically, but let us learn and do things our way. He saved us a lot of heartache and money over the years!
We still have the picnic table and bench’s that once graced Jim’s pizza restaurant in Calgary, he would be amazed to know that.
Jim loved to share his experiences and stories, and we loved watching him build out his latest car restoration. He was so talented!
His love of life is something we will always remember about Jim, he always had a kind word for us, and he was a gem of a neighbour. We will miss him, and are grateful to have know him.
