Don, Lizzy and I are so sorry to hear of Ritchie's passing. He was the "rock" in the Twa family. You were always special when visiting the lake and were treated like royalty. Ritchie's wit and humor kept everyone in stitches and we always had so much fun. He will be missed but we have so many memories. Love and hugs to you and the girls, Bizz.

Bizz, on behalf of our family, we extend our heartfelt condolences to you at this difficult time. Ritchie will be well remembered. We have many memories of laughter and fun spent at family gatherings with you both. My mom and dad (Craighton and Irene) treasured their time spent with you.
Sending love, Craighton Twa, Tracy & family, Carey, Scott & family

Condolences to BIzz and extended family. So sad to hear of Ritchie's passing.
I first met Ritchie curling in Viking in the early seventies. We teamed up for many spiels through the next years. One year he dubbed me The Bailer as I bailed our team out of trouble. Ha Ha . It was then I named him T.H.E. Puma. Only he and I knew the meaning of this over the years. We did alot of duck hunting together. We kind of lost touch in the later years only to reconnect the last few years
I am so grateful we did. He will be dearly missed. Rest in peace my friend

Sending our condolences to Ritchie's family. Our family has enjoyed a deep friendship with Ritchie since his arrival to Wainwright. So many memories of hunting, curling, golfing, oldtimer hockey with Butch, cardplaying, and his involvement in the political world. Carry on, old friend, as you reunite with so many of your old buddies. Thank you for sharing your life with us.
Brent Fischer, and the rest of Butch and Marian's family

Bizz & Family - having spoken to Ritchie weekly if not every few days, I am going to miss his big heart, sharp wit, and always-sunny demeanor (except perhaps when the Oilers got rolled!) I loved sharing my family's stories & photos with him because I knew he truly cared and enjoyed it. Hugo and I will miss Ritch, and I'll never forget the friendship he shared so effortlessly. If you need anything, you know where to find me.

Our sincere condolences to Biz and all of Ritchies extended family. He was one of my first bosses at Denwood Motors in 1977. He was always the first to compliment and acknowledge hard work or good work. I discovered the music of Don Williams that frequently played on the cassette in his Olds 98 demo. He was a generous man (that I won’t detail at this time), but suffice it to say I always felt appreciated and valued as his employee. In the years since we kept in touch, and in our last online exchange on Jan 01, his final comment to me was in the exact persona I just described. RIP MY FRIEND

Uncle Ritchie, you were such a great friend to so many people over the years, and I will always cherish our close friendship. You were thoughtful and generous with your words, time and attention, and there was no shortage of helpful advice when requested. I won't forget all the laughs, stories, and fun moments shared with you and Auntie 'B', from horseback riding as a teenager, rodeos, politics, trips to Arizona, so many weekends at the lake making new friends over yard projects, great meals and cold drinks. Thanks for all of it and I hope you're smiling and happy wherever you are now.

Ritchie….who was known to us as The Puma, curled with Ron Anton and I for three years between 1970 and 1972. We did a lot of winning but the Brier playdowns were something we could not succeed in. So, in 1973 Ron and I went with Hec Gervais. Ritchie started the 1972-73 season with us but did not finish the year because he moved to Wainwright to start a car dealership. In March of 1974 we won the Brier but Ritch wasn’t with us…..rest well old friend.
