In Loving Memory

Jeff Skaley

February 2, 1994 ~ February 25, 2024

Jeffrey Gordon William Skaley passed away suddenly February 25, 2024 at the age of 30.

Jeff was born February 2, 1994 to Lenard and Carolyn Skaley in Stettler. He grew up on the family acreage and attended school here. As a young boy he began following in his Grandpa Art’s footsteps learning to weld and operate backhoe to dig ditches and graves. He loved being outside helping his Dad feed cows, tame bulls and heifers for local shows and running the bobcat for landscaping. Soccer, football, 4-H Beef Club and hockey were a big part of his youth. He loved fishing at Blood Indian with Grandma and Grandpa Yates as a kid and recently with his friend Devin at Bourque Lake and Lac Bellevue.  Camping, hiking, slow-pitch tournaments, road tripping and making The Dad Army podcasts were enjoyed with friends.

Jeff is survived by his loving family; parents Carolyn Skaley and Lenard Skaley; sisters Jessica Skaley (Colby Hammett) and Caylen Skaley (Stephen LaChance); grandma Carol Yates; aunties Gwenda Gravely (Ray Robinson) and Bev Konschuh; uncle Rodney (Angela) Yates; cousins: Allison Yates (Jacob Yasinski), Erika Yates (Erick Labelle), Rachel Yates, Ryan Yates, Parker Konschuh (Taylor Timmermans), Becca (Jordan) Hebert and their children Rey Belle and Scottie Wade; as well as numerous other relatives and many dear friends.

Jeff was predeceased by grandpa Gordon Yates; grandparents Art and Sharon Skaley; uncles Wade Konschuh and Robin Gravely and great grandma Marion Yates and other extended family.

Always available to lend a hand for friends and admired for his ability to live in the moment. Jeff cared deeply, loved immensely, and dreamed beyond barriers. Everyone expresses his greatest attributes being his huge smile and giant hugs.  Please cherish your last hand shake or hug with Jeff not as “goodbye” but “until we meet again”. He would also wish to acknowledge the overwhelming amount of love and support for him and his family.

We were blessed to have you as our son and brother. You lived a big life in a short amount of time. We loved you first. We love you still. We always have and always will. Love you forever and always ~ Mom, Dad, Jessica and Caylen.
