Mary Ellen- for me that name brings memories of an always smiling, always cheerful + beautiful lady, who always had something nice to say. I often wondered if she ever had a bad day. If she did, she never showed it. Loren, you are blessed to have had many wonderful years with Mary Ellen and I'm sure she's in heaven now, smiling down at you. We will miss her enthusiastic spirit but our lives were blessed for having known such a beautiful person. Norm + Dorica Parrott

Wishing all of the family light, love and peace today as they say goodbye to ME. She was a sweet, kind soul and here is wishing her journey to the spirit in the sky is swift and without turbulence. Lots of love. My heart is with you even if my body is not. Xx

We enjoyed the Miller family when they lived in Entwistle. Still remember Mary Ellen's beautiful, warm smile.

Dearest Loren, Steve, Jill, Mitch and family...... how sorry to have lost a lady with a most beautiful soul. How blessed we were to have her and how very sa to have to say goodbye. She was loved by so many but none more than Loren who cherished her to the umpth degree. There was no cupboard or closet that didn't hide candy, cookies sweets of all kinds LOL. From our first meeting in Mesa, Arizona, through to Castor lodge..... our visits were cherished. Without a loving, kind mother of my own her hugs and prayers were especially meaningful to me. Imagine how she is loving heaven right now! I am grateful that Mary Ellen has a family who love her and so many people who have blessed by her. My prayers to my dear Loren and all the family that you will be blessed, comforted and find great peace within.

I really appreciated their love and support in youth group at the North Platte Berean Church when I was in high school. They made all of our meetings fun and made us want to come back. She encouraged me to grow in my Christian walk.

Loren, our deepest condolences to you and the family.
I had the privilege of working with Mary Ellen in the Activities Office at Mesa Spirit RV Resort in Mesa AZ a couple of winters. The first year we arrived well ahead of Mary Ellen and had heard her name many times before getting to meet her. Each person talking about her spoke such kind words about her I was anxious for her arrival.
They did not exaggerate! What a wonderful soul! Gentle, loving, generous, kind are only a few words to describe this beautiful lady.
I learned much from working alongside her, especially how to manage older adults gently but effectively. :-)
Thank you for sharing a small part of your amazing life with me Mary Ellen. You hold a special place in my heart.

Some of my favorite memories of Mary Ellen are seeing her big smile and pleasant look on her face. I admired her talent in music, both singing and playing the piano. I remember her sitting under the piano keyboard and playing the keys above her head with her hands backwards. We spent many holidays with her parents Glenn and Til, and Delmar and Estaline.
We enjoyed our time together when we both traveled to Arizona for the winter. We spent many fun times eating Loren's homemade ice cream and visiting. We taught them a marbles board game which they caught onto very quickly. We were sad when the time came that they were no longer able to travel to Arizona. We especially enjoyed traveling to Canada one summer to visit them.
MaryEllen will be missed by all who knew her!

My Condolences to Loren and the family.. We loved having Mary Ellen at the Lodge. Even if she didn't feel well we were greeted with her big bright smile daily..She loved to read and had great faith in the Lord. She even called Bingo a few times and made it fun for the other Residents.. It was a privilege to get to know her. She will be missed.

I grew up 1 block from the Krause family on 8th street in North Platte, NE. Mary Ellen and I always walked to and from Elementary school together. What good times we had laughing and talking about our days.
She was older than me so went to junior high and high school ahead of me. I would watch her for clues on “how to act” during those years.
She was so talented and always knew how to make things fun. Definitely a good example to follow.

Q: What will you never forget about Mary?
A: Mary Ellen was always smiling and a pleasure to visit with . I first met her and Lorn at castor’s manor two when I went for a visit, share a barbeque or other social activity. I loved her kindness to everyone and positive outlook on life. At the lodge I learned of her letter that Lorne had saved since they were young teenagers. What a beautiful show of cherished love. Now Mary Ellen is singing with the angels . What a blessing to have know her… if only for a short few years
