I was a young mom in the Harris community where I grew up, struggling to make ends meet with 3 jobs. At the time Gail owned and operated the Harris hotel, and I had decided to drop my resume off one day. She wasn't sure if she was hiring at the time. I soon received a phone call and started my new job as a bartender/server. I was able to quite all my other jobs thanks to Gail taking a chance on a young mother. She soon met my son and he absolutely adored Gail, she always had a treat for him, always without fail, and made sure to offer him chocolate milk or orange juice as he got older! He loved visiting with her, and felt very special when he got to join her in the kitchen or back room, she did spoil him. Gail allowed me to be a hard working mom, gave me a love for bartending, never made me feel as though being a young mom at 19 was a mistake. She treated me like family and my son like a grandson. I will forever be grateful for her, and she has always held a special place in heart! You will be missed, but I have never forgotten a single memory made with Gail or her husband Ed!
