July 25, 1961 ~ December 19, 2024

Rocky, beloved son of Orville and Doris Strandquist, passed away peacefully in his sleep at Stettler Points West, at the age of 63 years.

Rocky was raised south of Stettler. He had his father’s love of horses and his mother’s sense of humour. He was a jockey from age 10 to 17, when in 1979 a racing accident left him partially paralyzed. After rehabilitation in Edmonton Glenrose Hospital, he moved to Calgary. He came back home to Stettler, where the community always gave him a kind hello and a helping hand as he buzzed around town. Rocky always had a smile and joke ready to share.

He will be missed by his siblings: Faye, Judi, Ron, Wanda, Cindy and Vicky; numerous relatives and many dear friends.

A Celebration of Life
