Obituary of Ilse Aileen Kolybaba

Mrs. Ilse Aileen Kolybaba was born into this world on October 8, 1929 in St. Paul Manitoba to lucky parents Alice and John Morton.

Ilse from the time she was a youngster up to and beyond her 94th birthday, attacked every single day with vigor and zest.  She was an avid world traveller which in itself could write its own memoirs; an accomplished seamstress and often tailored her own clothing.  She had a love for animals in general but especially the dogs and one can never not include her patio squirrel who was as faithful to her as she to it.

Ilse was an advocate of healthy eating and active lifestyles. She was a very passionate yoga instructor who made all who ever met her feel welcome to her calling.

Ilse Aileen Kolybaba passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 4, 2024 in Red Deer, AB with love surrounding her. She will be missed in the hearts of her family and those whose lives she touched.

Ilse is survived by her daughter Mona (Ted) Cooley of Calgary, AB and their children Chad (Heather Charles) Cooley, Candace (Collin) Watson, Kyla (Paul) Lavery and Karla Wingate, daughter Dawn (Barry) Colby of Winnipeg, Manitoba, son Garner (Marla) Kolybaba of Lacombe and their children Addie (Niels) Müntzenberger, Dalen (Jaycee) Kolybaba, and Brandt Kolybaba; 11 great grandchildren; and a host of friends far to many to mention.

Ilse was predeceased by her husband William; brothers Norman and Ted.

No formal funeral services will be held at this time.

Memorial Contributions in Ilse's memory may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
